A useful map does not make the journey for you. It helps you see where you are, which question comes next and what remains outside the map.
Our editorial territory
Quarter Atlas is a US-English publication about the administrative and academic-planning context around student life at the University of Washington. We focus on the differences that are easy to overlook: home campus versus offering campus, a plan versus registration, an alert versus a reserved place, and an audit observation versus an adviser’s interpretation.
My UW and MyUW identify the university service discussed in our articles. They do not name the publisher of this website. We use no university logo, seal, mascot or imitation account screen.
Reading, not a university service
We cannot access an account, register a course, reserve a seat, determine degree applicability, approve cross-campus study or resolve an individual case. We do not collect credentials, student-document uploads or payments. Questions about a personal university matter belong in the appropriate official channel.
How the work is made
Articles use official public University of Washington sources, distinguish documented facts from original organizing methods and label hypothetical examples. No private account was accessed or university transaction tested. Our diagrams, context cards and local compass are original organizing aids. They do not encode eligibility rules. The Editorial Disclaimer explains this distinction and our approach to sources.
